What to Expect

ACT_8798-2

We’re delighted to have you gather with us to worship Jesus. Here’s what you can expect when you come to Crosstown Church on Sunday.

We lease our worship space from our gracious friends at the Baptist Temple. Our two churches, plus a Spanish-language church, all meet in separate spaces at the building on Sunday mornings.

The parking lot is on the north side of the building, and the entrance is underneath the awning on that side as well. When you enter the building, a member from Crosstown will be there to greet you. If you have preschool-aged children (5 yrs and under), our Preschool Ministry Team and volunteers would be delighted to have them join us. We’ll show you where to go!

The following are our children and youth classes:ACT_8556

Preschool Classes (6 months - 5 years) | 10:30 a.m.
Childrens Class (1st grade - 3rd grade) | 9:30 a.m.
Catechism Class (4th grade - 6th grade) | 9:30 a.m.
Youth Gathering (7th grade - 12th grade) | 9:30 a.m.

Our service begins promptly at 10:30, but people begin arriving by 10:00. Pick up a cup of hot tea or coffee and make yourself comfortable.

One of our elders begins the service with a welcome and call to worship read from the Bible. We spend some time worshiping Jesus in music, corporate confession, and prayer, followed by an assurance of pardon read from another passage in the Bible. We also regularly recite the Apostle’s Creed together, uniting us to the ancient faith of our spiritual ancestors. Then, one of our members will read a Scripture text from which the sermon will be given.

ACT_2510-3At the end of the sermon, baptized believers in Jesus will be invited to participate in the Lord’s Supper. Our service concludes as we sing congregationally in worshipful response and are dismissed with a benediction from the Bible. The service concludes by 12:00.
