As the exhortation of Hebrews begins, we are told that we live in an exciting era in which God has spoken to us definitively, delivering his final authoritative word through the Son. This Son stands in a unique relationship to the Father and thus possesses the credentials to speak unequivocally for God. Christians must therefore pay very close attention to him, even more so than we would to an angel from heaven.
