The Faithlessness of Man and the Faithfulness of God

Throughout Israel’s history, God demonstrated his love for them through faithfully keeping his covenant and doing marvelous works of sanctification for his name’s sake. His grace was not based on their merit. Yet they repeatedly and generationally acted faithlessly, ignoring warnings, and shunning both the call to be holy and not to profane his name. Nonetheless, once more, God will manifest his faithfulness, this time through both judgment and grace, purification and sanctification, promising restoration for the sake of his name and his glory.
