Scripture: Romans 11:1–10
As the gospel of Jesus began to be proclaimed, the leaders of Israel continued to oppose it. But just as in the days of the prophet Elijah, God had preserved a remnant within Israel. This remnant would be a testimony of God's sovereign grace and also offer hope to the world that there was still time to escape the final judgment of God.
