The Mission of the Incarnation

Having already humbled himself by become human like us, the incarnate Son of God humbled himself even more. He submitted himself to the will of his Father in every detail, even though his obedience would cost him dearly. In order to fulfill the whole purpose for his incarnation, Jesus would have to obey his Father in ways he never had before, but his perfect obedience would result in the redemption of sinners.
