Israel's encounter with God at Mt. Sinai was terrifying, but as Christians, our experience with God is different. Under the terms of the new covenant mediated by Jesus, our names are inscribed into the heavenly record. We worship God with reverence and awe, recognizing what he has done to make us members of God's unshakable kingdom.
