The church exists to provide encouragement for weary believers as they struggle against sin and submit to the loving discipline of the Father. Granted peace and holiness by God, they strive to live in light of these grace gifts. Believers are commanded to keep an eye out for one another, not allowing any troubling root of unbelief to spring up and threaten to defile the purity of the faith they share.
