Having addressed his audience's spiritual immaturity, the Preacher of Hebrews now warns them of the danger they face if they refuse to grow up in Christ. None of their Christian experiences can benefit them should they end up turning away from the gospel of grace. Only through the cherishing of the achievement of Christ on the cross can we bring forth the kind of fruit that is blessed by God.
