The superiority of Jesus is to be seen in what he has accomplished for humanity. Though lowly and humble, we humans find our dignity in what God has made us to be and what God, in Christ, has made possible for us to be again. In the humiliation of the death he suffered, Jesus swallowed the penalty of sin so that we who believe in him have no reason to fear the enemy of death but can live as those who will inherit an eternal kingdom.
