The holiness of God means that God possesses a nature entirely distinct from everything he has created. And yet he created humans in order to enjoy a close relationship with himself. The sin that keeps us separate from God has been dealt a decisive blow by the cross of Christ, but we need encouragement to maintain our grip on our hope that God will surely fulfill.
