Soli Deo Gloria

The gospel of salvation by grace alone through faith alone in the work of Christ alone has greatly impacted the places in which it has been proclaimed. It reformed how God was worshiped, with his glory being the source of the Christian's joy. It reformed the workplace as everyday life and vocation was elevated to spiritual work carried out for the glory of God and the good of one's neighbor. And the gospel reformed the very fabric of society as the glory of God was sought in family life, education, politics, economics, and the arts. The impact of the Reformation is summarized in the phrase soli Deo gloria—glory to God alone!
