Ezra: Heading Home

The decree of the Persian king, Cyrus, brought an end to the Babylonian exile. The remnant of Jewish survivors were now on their way home. Hard lessons had been learned, and a new sense of identity was taking shape. The people of God would need to learn how to live in line with their identity as they made a fresh start. Like Christians today, they would soon discover they were not home yet.
