Blessing Mary

Protestant Christians, eager to distance themselves from Roman Catholic adoration of Mary, have often neglected the significance of her life and what she means to the Christian faith. In Mary’s song of praise, following her miraculous conception of Jesus, she exclaims that generations from that moment on will call her blessed. As we listen to her express her joy in God, we not only learn to share in her joy but also to come to see the impact she has left on the world.
